You see, this is why last year there was a gap of considerable length between posts - it's all about the weather. This past weekend we experienced bone-chilling temperatures of -22C and lower. Logan couldn't stay outside for more than a few minutes at a time because his paws would get sore.
Last evening we has a minor snowfall of 5-10 cm, but as the night wore on the temperature rose to a balmy +6C, so now everything is melting. It's a nice change from the shivering, and logan really likes being able to bound through the snow again instead of crash into the ice. That really was fraking cold!
