Well, another Canada Day has come and gone. Did we learn anything over the last year? Does the country review it's successes and failures, review it's goals and revise them as people do on key birthdays? Does it think, "I thought I'd be so much further along at 141"? Does it wonder why it seems a little fat in the middle and some of it's parts don't work the way they used to? Probably not. The country parties in celebration of the creation of Canada, then, individually, gets on with worrying about why it seems a little fat in the middle.
